Diary of a wimpy kid ( The last straw )

26/6/16
Free choice
Creator Jeff Kinney
7/10
7/20

This book is about a boy named Greg. His dad wants him to play sports and get outside but Greg finds it hard to do that. Through the book his dad signs him up for all types of outside activity's. One thing he signs him up for is a military academy  and now Greg has to try to convince his dad for him not to go.

This book was a good read but it was kinda hard to read. The reason was because it was in diary format and it was going to different days through the week. Other than that it was a fun book with all the drawings and the embarrassing stories that were told. I recommend this book to people who like to read and see what is going on so they can see the big picture.

This book is about a boy named Greg. It was the summer holidays and Greg's mum wanted him to go outside and have real fun in the sun, but Greg didn't want to. Greg's idea of fun was a little different he liked staying inside, in the dark and playing video games. Greg's mum decided to make the neighbour hood a reading club for the boys who didn't get outside much. The first day the boys went they brought their favourite books. Greg's mum thought their books were stupid so she told them to find proper literature books. No one else came to the any more sessions except Greg because he was made to. Greg ended up having sleepovers with his friend Rowley.

This book is written in a diary format.
I rate this book a 7/10.
I recommend this book for people who enjoy reading tom gates books.

Paper towns is all about Quentin Jacobsen and his adventure. His adventure is to find his child hood love Margo Roth Spiegelman when she goes missing. She leaves hints here and there as clues for the quest to go on. This adventure becomes into a road trip when his friends tag along for the mystery.

This book was amazing to read and i couldn't put it down. It has all the aspects of a great story that hooks you at the beginning. I loved how it was a big chase trying to find the girl just like in the movie. The character Margo has done many run aways before but she always got found. And Quentin  has to be the one to find her.

I recommend this book to adventure lovers. It was very interesting reading the twists and turns that were unexpected.
